What?  Face to Faith:  Child Poverty

When?  July 27 – Time 4:00 – 7:00

Where?  Bridges of Grace, United Church of Christ at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran, located at 1423 Lee St. East.

Join Bridges of Grace United Church of Christ in an educational discussion of the social justice issue of Child Poverty.  How can you help?  How should our faith inform our actions on child poverty?  What can an individual do to make a difference?

We will show the movie A Place at the Table, followed by discussions with West Virginia State Senator John Unger.  Sen. Unger has met the issue of child poverty head on, introducing legislation and helping shed light on an uncomfortable subject.   Mr. Stephen Smith from Our Children, Our Future  http://www.wvhealthykids.org/, which is a Campaign to end Child Poverty.  Mr. Paul Sheridan with the ACLU, and host Rev. Kay Albright, pastor of Bridges of Grace United Church of Christ.
